I am the owner of a small dog and I am much undecided on the issue of dog clothes. Occasionally I see dogs (usually small dogs) dressed in a sweater or something and I think it’s cute. Usually when I see dogs wearing clothes, I think it’s kind of ridiculous. I love my dog and she’s a member of our family. We buy her Christmas gifts and take her on trips with us. However, I think I have to draw the line at dressing her in dog clothes. It just doesn’t feel right to me. I have purchased the occasional personalized collar or leash, and I don’t mean to judge those who choose to dress up their dogs, but it’s not something I think I’ll ever be doing.
Last day, somehow I wasn’t feeling too good as soon as I got up. I felt as though I had let time pass by without doing anything worthwhile. Money making and other lucrative things are all fine but I felt I hadn’t lived up to my own expectation of performing something I would feel proud about. Then, my husband suggested that we go to an old age home and spend some time with senior citizens. The idea appealed to me and we went to an old age home near our house. I met a number of couples and sat listening to their stories, some sad and some hilarious. I did not realize how time passed by. We had taken lots of fruits and sweets for all of them and they all seemed to love our presence.
Last night for dinner I made my crunchy tacos. The way I cook them comes from my mother which is why I cook them the way I do. It’s nothing extravagant. Pretty simple way of making tacos but they come out delicious. I made them with ground beef. I fry up the corn tortillas into taco shells, fill them with the meat then put all the yummy toppings. Have to have cheese, sour cream, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced onions and of course, some hot sauce. An avocado would go really good with this too but I didn’t have one. The only one who won’t eat my crunchy tacos is my son. I have to fix him a “soft” taco. Which to me is basically a burrito? But I fixed that for him and he loved that. My family always looks forward to taco night.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with my wife (Susan), daughter (Emma) and son (Pearce). On our weekends, we devote all of our time to them – we do various things (going to the park, playing in the backyard, etc.). We also enjoy watching them play with there friends. We also see our own friends, but in the end, we are always together. Friends told me to enjoy our kids when they are young, because it goes by quickly. I am trying to do just that. I love my family more than anything, and in my spare time, love nothing more than to be with them.
