Some relations never demand personal presence as it is the confidence in the relation which makes you aware that when you need the person, the person would be next to you. And that’s what parenthood is all about always being there for kids. You’ll know when you become parents. I now being a mother of six year old still remember the time when I was six and not well and wanted a Barbie painted on my room wall was done by my dad while mom comforting me in bed and the smiling Barbie on the wall still makes me smile.
My dog hates Halloween. Her name is Alice and she is the sweetest Border collie mix in the world, but she hates Halloween with a vengeance ever since crimes against nature have been inflicted upon her, the poor beast. About three years ago my wife decided to include Alice in the Halloween fun by putting some funny dog clothes on her, I guess dog clothes is a bit conservative it was more of a dog costume. The costume was a pumpkin it had an orange puffy body and a cute little hat with a pumpkin stem coming out. This costume struck terror into the heart of poor Alice. She looked so cute in the costume though, but she would just stare at you with the most pitiful look when it was on her. Now if you take it out of the closet she just hides in the bath tub. So I hope it was just the pumpkin outfit and she can enjoy the warmth and cuteness of all the wonderful dog clothes that could fill her wardrobe. Movies are great time pass. With popcorn in my hand and friends on the side, I laugh, I cry, I think, I criticize but above all I enjoy. I watch the movies which I think or appeals to me through its previews. Particularly two kinds of movies catch my interest which is either good romantic movie as they explore the basic need of human emotions, love and a light heart romantic comedy is always a treat. Another kind is movie with a message as such movies spread awareness and somewhere provokes you to think and act for some purpose.
Last week I went to the city animal shelter and adopted a dog! He’s a Doberman mix, with some of just about everything in the mutt half of him. Although he weighs almost sixty pounds, he’s very narrowly built and quite tall, with really long legs. I’ve found that his weird shape makes it hard to buy things for him. His legs hang off every bed I’ve tried, his shoulders are too narrow or his chest too deep for most kinds of dog clothes, his feet are too big for boots, and I had to look through so many dog collars to find one that would fit him and still look great. I finally settled on a bright pink one that definitely takes some of the intimidation factor out of his Dobie looks. It’s goofy enough that it suits him perfectly.
